Israel - Palästina - Hamas… - Verlangt wird moralische Eindeutigkeit, notwendig ist moralische Widerspruchsfreiheit…

Seestadtpresse Bremerhaven - Verlangt werden  klare moralische Bekenntnisse nach einem simplen Schwarz-Weiß-Muster: Entweder du bist für oder gegen uns. 

Konkret heißt das: Wer sich nicht bedingungslos und kritiklos auf die Seite Israels stellt, ist ein Freund der Hamas und damit ein Rechtfertiger des Terrorismus.

Wer diese Simplifizierung eines höchst komplizierten Konflikts nicht mitmachen will und auf Differenzierung besteht, wird ganz fix des Verrats bezichtigt. 

Aber genau die elende Simplifizierung hat die aktuelle Eskalation vorbereitet, weil alle Schuld am gegenwärtigen Krieg den Palästinensern angelastet wird. 

Jedes Nachdenken über das künftige Geschehen gerät durch das fortgesetzte Schwarz-Weiß-Denken sehr schnell in eine Sackgasse. Auf diesem Weg kann es keine humanen Lösungen geben. 

Was dringend benötigt wird, ist moralische Konsequenz und Widerspruchsfreiheit. 

Das bedeutet: Die Sorge um menschliches Leben muss überall und ohne Einschränkungen Geltung haben. 

Sie muss also für Israelis, Palästinenser und Geiseln im aktuellen Konflikt durchgesetzt werden.

You know who does have moral clarity? Hamas has moral clarity…

No one has a good answer to the question of what happens next, but even asking it will be seen as a violation of moral clarity.

So perhaps what we need more than clarity is consistency. I feel Israel’s anguish, fear and rage; I have family and friends there. But I’m horrified by Hamas fighters going house to house and murdering people not because the victims were Jews like me, but because they were human beings. And so are the innocent civilians now being killed in Gaza.“
